Kristen Burge

Attorney

Kristen Burge recently joined IPC, bringing over 10 years of litigation experience to the practice. Kristen's educational background provides her with a unique skill set to service clients in a variety of intellectual property matters. Kristen earned her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University, going on to graduate magna cum laude from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law in 2010. While in law school, Kristen served as the copy editor for the Law Review and won best oral advocate in the school's moot court competition.

Knowing that she wanted to pursue a career that integrates law with science, Kristen attained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law and Policy from the University of Washington. She served as the technical editor for the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts, which selected her thesis paper on genetic exceptionalism and gene patentability for publication.

Prior to joining IPC, Kristen worked at a national defense firm providing representation to clients across a broad spectrum of industries. Over the court of her legal career, Kristen has garnered extensive pre-trial practice, tried cases successfully to verdict, and overturned adverse rulings through extensive writ practice. She has published several articles and has been a regular contributor to the American Bar Association's quarterly publication, Litigation News.
