Announcing the Merger of Intellectual Property Consulting (IPC) and The Watson Firm
We are thrilled to announce a merger with The Watson Firm, a boutique law firm based in Birmingham, Alabama. This combination brings The Watson Firm’s three lawyers to IPC, enhancing the firm’s general business transactional and litigation services and expanding IPC’s geographical reach into Alabama with an office in Birmingham.
What This Merger Means for Our Clients
The newly merged firm will operate under the IPC brand, retaining all current attorneys and staff from both firms. While letterhead and email addresses will change, clients will continue to work directly with their established legal team as the firms integrate.
The Watson Firm was founded in 2011 by Tripp Watson, who will now lead the IPC Birmingham office. He is joined by two associates in Birmingham. The firm’s Birmingham attorneys are admitted to practice law in Alabama and Tennessee. At IPC, they will continue to practice in the business law and intellectual property sectors, representing entrepreneurs and other businesses in transactional and litigation matters. IPC clients will now benefit from the firm’s physical presence in Alabama and the deep experience The Watson Firm lawyers bring to the firm.
IPC is the largest intellectual property boutique law firm on the Gulf Coast, offering patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation, as well as application and prosecution legal services. The firm manages one of the largest trademark portfolios in the United States and the firm’s registered patent attorneys assist clients with patent applications around the world. Clients of The Watson Law Firm now have access to this deep bench of intellectual property experience.
