John Michael Curtis
Born and raised in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, John Michael Curtis is an attorney whose practice focuses on copyright law, trademark law, business organization, and contractual disputes. He works with businesses, entrepreneurs, and creators to protect their intellectual property, navigate commercial matters, and resolve legal challenges. Drawing on experience representing clients in both plaintiff and defense matters, John Michael approaches legal issues with an understanding of the practical and strategic considerations facing all parties involved.
John Michael earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2024, where he focused his studies on intellectual property and consumer protection. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama, double majoring in Marketing and Advertising and graduating with the highest GPA of his college's commencement and the second-highest graduating GPA of his college between 2016 and 2020. Prior to joining the firm, John Michael gained experience in a variety of legal practice areas, including insurance defense, estate planning, and civil litigation, providing him with a broad foundation that informs his current practice.
John Michael combines his legal training with a strong appreciation for creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Outside the office, he has played guitar for more than eighteen years and enjoys riding vintage motorcycles. Before beginning his legal career, John worked as a tour guide at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, where he developed an appreciation for the creative industries that continue to inspire his work with clients today.
